After the Cityscape construction (which is still there!), Brussels has a second Arne Quinze masterpiece. On Sunday November 16, ‘The Sequence’ was officialy inaugurated.
The giant wooden structure connects the House of Flemish Representatives with the Flemish Parliament. It will stay there for at least 5 years.
Concrete and wood are the materials used for this construction. But sustainability was an important issue. All used wood has the EFC-label, which means that for every tree cut there will be planted a new one.
Next year we can expect another Arne Quinze-project in Brussels as a part of the newly build Square – Brussels Meeting Centre. Hooray!
